To celebrate the birthday of Hales W. I. in October, over twenty members and friends met at the Crown Inn, Market Drayton for an evening meal. Thank you to the staff at the Crown for the excellent service and good food. A band of happy people went home suitably refreshed.

On Sunday, 30 October, was our Church Anniversary and Gift Day at Ashley Methodist Church and we were pleased to welcome our new minister The Revd Roger Baker to lead our worship.  Roger was warmly welcomed by chief steward Margaret Chambers.

Special Bell Ring in Norton in Hales


 


The village will be visited by a team of Bellringers from Maesvyn Ridware on Saturday November 12th. 
 


Under the leadership of their Tower Mistress Anne Ogden, they will be performing a "quarter peal" which will last for about 45 minutes. 
 


Because the next day is Remembrance Sunday, the bells will be half-muffled.

BloomInAshley will be putting the Village to bed for winter with our final litter pick of the year:
 
Saturday 5th Nov, meeting at Ashley Clinic at 9.50am for a 10.00 start.
 
All necessary safety and litter picking equipment provided.



We should be finished by 11.00am.



New helpers with an hour to spare that morning are very welcome.
