Mission Statement:

To offer a comprehensive, integrated and accessible information resource to the communities of Loggerheads and surrounding areas.

Vision:

We provide a meeting place for all to exchange, relay and gather information relating to the needs, aspirations and awareness of our target population. We also provide a Mobile Shop which visits outlying villages as well as attending Village/School fetes, Public events and joint events with Emergency Services. We publish, and distribute a bi-monthly magazine to every home in the parish. We strive to reach and exceed the benchmark we have set ourselves to improve two way communications.

We opened on Monday 5 February 2007

You'll find us in Loggerheads library each Monday morning from 10.00am to 1.00pm.

The shop is run by volunteers who understand local matters. We give friendly, informal help and information to solve your everyday

problems. Everyone is welcome and anyone can ask for help.

The success of the shop will be a tribute to all volunteers who work hard to support the residents in the Loggerheads Parish Council Area, as well as all the members of the public, who make use of this free service.

Examples of help we can offer:

Free School Meals - help and advice with filling in forms and sending them to the County Council.

We will pass on your problems, issues and concerns to Newcastle

under Lyme Borough Council regarding a wide variety of problems

including:

Abandoned Cars Litter Grot Spots Overhanging Trees

We are Active watchdogs for Trading Standards e.g. report rogue traders, underage alcohol and cigarette sales etc.

You can report any local Highway problems to us and we will pass them on to CLARENCE (Staffs County Council's Customer Lighting And Roads Enquiry CEntre)

Aspire tenants can report any repairs needed here. We can pass on any problems to Aspire Housing.

If you are having problems with your benefits or pension you can make an appointment through the “Shop” for someone from the Department of Work and Pensions to visit you.
